Helping Achieve Relief For Your Back Problems Through Total Health and Wellness
As a team, we work together to discover the root cause of your back problem and develop a personalized chiropractic plan to help restore and maintain your health and vitality.
How is a treatment plan determined?
During an initial chiropractic consultation, a chiropractor will ask about the patient’s health history. Some medical conditions may require alternative therapies from a chiropractor such as people with osteoporosis, arthritis, or those who take blood-thinning medication.
The chiropractor will also perform a physical exam. They will dedicate extra focus to the spine during this exam as that is most often a core part of the treatment plan. In some cases, your chiropractor may also do an x-ray of the affected area. Your health history and exam results aid the chiropractor’s decisions about the best treatment plan.
What is involved in the chiropractic care?
Subsequent visits to the chiropractor can involve a variety of therapies and adjustments for your treatment. The number of visits will vary based on the severity of your condition. Secondary therapies of chiropractic care can include:
-
Electrical stimulation
-
Combinations of heat and ice
-
Lifestyle counseling (learning relaxation techniques, discussing diet and weight loss)
Are there side effects of chiropractic care?
The objective of chiropractic care is to increase the range of motion in the treatment area. Mobilizing these areas to contribute to the overall restoration of a patient’s health. There are some possible side effects of chiropractic care which can include temporary discomfort in the treated areas, fatigue, headaches and on rare occasions, pinched nerves. Overall it is an effective treatment option to restore joint function.
